Kiwiberry Australia is the first commercial Kiwiberry grower in Australia. Our Kiwiberries are grown without chemical sprays.We combine the best of conventional and organic farming to produce quality and nutritious fruits. Our Kiwiberries are handpicked at higher sugar levels than other Kiwiberries present on the market. This ensures our fruit maximises everything we love about our fruit including its sweetness, flavour and taste. The Kiwiberry varieties we grow reach at least twice the sugar levels of Kiwi fruit making them delicious to eat.
Kiwiberry Australia is found on 23 acres of family owned property situated near the end of the Puffing Billy Railway line in the historic village of Gembrook. The property overlooks the scenic Dandenong Ranges and the hills of Gembrook, the gateway to bushland country Victoria, which features the majestic mountain ash trees. The cool moist temperate climate together with rich organic red soil provides excellent growing conditions for our Kiwiberries.
Over the years of growing Kiwiberries we have consistently assessed numerous varieties available on the market in terms of fruit quality, productivity and climate requirements. Our production is currently focused on three varieties that consistently receive the highest consumer taste and appeal rating. Our research and development programs are ongoing with the aim to identify promising new superior varieties of fruit and to improve our orchard management practices. We collaborate with leading research scientists and growers across Europe and USA to develop industry leading practices, optimal Kiwiberry cultivation, harvest and storage technologies.
